This recognition highlights the transformative impact of grassroots sports leadership and community engagement in creating inclusive recreational opportunities for Edmonton's youth.
Over several years of volunteer service with EMSA, contributed to program development, coaching support, facility improvements, and accessibility initiatives that have benefited hundreds of young athletes. The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta) was created to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty's Accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada, with 7,000 medals awarded to worthy recipients across the province.
